Brain Tumor History And Other Rants

So last Monday and Tuesday I had my chemo. Well they finally figured out that my chemo levels were to high. It was taking me 6 weeks to get healthy again and not 28 days like the cycle is supposed to be. So they lowered my dosages. Hey that junk kicked my ass last month so I am not complaining. This month it seems I am already as far as eating bouncing back quicker so that is good news. This week I have already started my 3 day a week blood testing. I went Monday, all my levels were fine. Sunday I started doing 2 injections a day into my belly that is a kick. I have had some pretty good nausea over the past week, this week the injections give me flu like symptoms. So at night I get very achy and I get major migraines throughout the whole front of my head. But lucky for me with the lower dosage my week was a bit more uneventful. Hopefully the last month will go the same way. Now I just have to see how my blood will react.

So no chemo yet, but today, Friday, I passed my blood test! Yes, now my levels are high enough to get chemo on Monday and Tuesday. So chemo sick starts Monday, yes I am looking forward to a good time. So I guarantee that it will be sunny all week, because I will feel sick, instead of it being rainy when I am sick. Hey I can’t be much better or worse than the weather man. That’s really all I got for you medically. I got this weekend to enjoy myself, and to start losing sleep over this chemo junk. Cycle number 3 here we come look out! By the fourth month I swear I will be good at this. Month #3 I am sure I should have most of the kinks out. But all rules and things are subject to change.

So todays update is simple… I go tomorrow Wednesday 6/4 for one more cbc / blood test if my levels are up to snuff then I am going Thursday and Friday for my chemo. 7/8 days of fun fun fun. This is a bad time to send me any food! I will keep you posted as I can with the chemo sick stuff. I have taken to watching bad movies in my homelife now. HBO is an incredible source of bad movies. Time Machine, don’t waste your time. Planet of the apes, it was a long way to go for a payoff at the end, which is just setting up a sequel, god forbid. Skip that one too. Sanford and Son are a staple for me, priceless comedy. I have gotten back into Springer now to. I see way to many commercials now living like this. I did catch one of those Lifetime films last week. It was about this girl who came down with leukemia. She had to go to the hospital for chemo and all this. Man I was so sucked in with this made for TV movie. I have also gotten into these Discovery channel biker shows. It is really depressing to watch everyone ride. But it makes it easier because these guys ride $150,000 bikes that I couldn’t ever own. So yes my life is very eventful as you can tell. This is still not a recommended vacation option, no matter how much time it takes and however long I am out of work!
